You meet lots of people when you become a young adult. Growing up in a tiny town in the country didn't really prepare me for the variety of souls you would cross paths with. Much like the rest of the tracks on this EP, this is about a lesson learned. Not everyone plays by the same rules.
lyrics
Teetering on the edge I guess,
backwards grin and a vintage spotted dress.
Why do I cry, every time?
When the planning gets tough,
and the tough gets old
living on the wages of the hours you just sold
Why do I try? The hands that take aren't mine.
The world goes round on pride, but I can't have mine?
Oooooh
It's not what you know,
but are willing to learn.
You can never be if you don't earn.
5pm light and the morning dew,
things unsaid, but wish could say to you.
Life will not subside, some things money just can't buy.
The world goes round on pride, but I can't have mine?
Oooooh
It's not what you know,
but are willing to learn.
You can never be if you don't earn.
Oooooh
It's not what you know,
but are willing to learn
Why can't you see, you'll never be if you don't earn.
No one can show you the path.
Keep on digging baby, till it all goes
black.
It's not what you know,
but are willing to learn.
You can never be if you don't earn.
What do you even know?
You just don't learn.
Oh no one told you, you'll never be if you don't earn,
